Tara L. Umbrino

Attorney at Law

Tara L. Umbrino, Esq. is the founding member of Valor Injury Law. She is a personal injury attorney and civil litigator with extensive experience in both jury and bench trials. Her path to the law was shaped by a strong desire to help others, and she built her career fighting for the rights of aggrieved and injured individuals.

After years of leading the personal injury practice at some of the country’s largest firms, she founded Valor Injury Law on the principle that every client deserves tenacious, compassionate, and principled representation. Tara provides each client with personalized attention, along with the guidance and legal protection they need after an injury, so they can focus on rebuilding their lives. Since founding Valor Injury Law, Tara has taken special interest in cases that disproportionately impact women and children such as daycare injuries, food allergies, sexual misconduct, salon injuries, and medi-spa injuries. Tara also serves as a Guardian ad Litem for children and disabled adults in personal injury cases, advocating for them and making sure the settlement fully and fairly compensates them for their injuries. To Tara, clients aren’t case numbers. They are people in the middle of one of the hardest chapters of their lives, and she is committed to being a fierce advocate they can rely on.

Tara enjoys passing her knowledge and passion to other members of the legal community. She regularly presents at continuing education seminars to lawyers and paralegals. She is an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Law School and at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College.

Outside of the office, Tara is an active member of the local Prince William County community. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She tries to remain active in group exercise classes and enjoy Virginia’s beauty from the mountains to the beaches.
